We get almost back to the castle when I hear footsteps.
I glance around, and my brother coming towards us. I know he's leaving again today. I have had no contact with him at all since the night I beat him and cut him apart. My dragon does not like him being near me at all.
Clay stops walking. "I just want to say goodbye to her." He looks at me. "I deserved it. I wouldn't have blamed you if you had beaten me to death. But you didn't. I'm so sorry that I ever hurt you. Maybe someday we can actually speak again."
I hop off Butter and go to him. Dipak and Tre are both close behind me.
