15 I Love You

Megan didn't want to waste time with him, but the thing he wanted to tell her was probably about Ivan. She decided to talk with him, but not in the room. They went to the garden so Ivan wouldn't hear anything. Jason always had a smile on his face, but Megan knew this guy before her was vicious and cunning. "Miss Dunn, your real name is Megan, am I right?" The man smiled. Megan was a bit startled. She didn't expect this man to investigate her. Why did he even do that? "Your sister didn't want to marry a blind man. That's why she let you marry Ivan. And you just did," Jason sat down on the bench, one arm stretching out on the back, "C'mon here and sit down. This is not an interrogation. You will find me the kindest man alive if you get to know me." Megan didn't move. She lowered her gaze to check out her watch. Ivan's bath would usually take 40 minutes. Those herbs would become harmful after being soaked in the water for too long. "Well… I'll just be honest with you," Jason stood up from the bench and stood before Megan, "I'd love to make a deal with you. You find one thing for me, and I'll make you the real Mrs. Hendrix." Megan bit on her lower lip as she pushed Jason's hand away. Jason didn't seem mad as he failed to touch her cheek, "I bet you know what I've been looking for. Ivan has the old man's stamp. I'll reward you if you can find it for me." Of course, it was the stamp. Jason was probably desperate right now. Or he wouldn't be here to bring up his offer. Megan huffed, ignored him and turned away, marching towards the house. "I knew you would be like this," Jason said behind her, "Why are you even so loyal to this man? He has nothing to offer. Besides, he thought you were Stacy Dunn. What will he do if he finds out you're not her one day?" Megan didn't stop or turn back. No one could make her change her mind. Jason caught up with her, grabbing her wrist and pulling her back, "If you dare to offend me, both you and that blind f**k will be thrown out of the house!" Megan struggled as she glowered at the man before her. "Just think about it," Jason's voice softened, "Ivan can't see anymore. They won't let a disabled man take over the company. That stamp is useless for him. He will ruin Grandpa's legacy…" Megan wanted to slap him. This man was such a snake! "Miss Dunn, you have to take care of yourself. Ivan will know about the truth one day. What are you gonna do once he abandons you? Going back to your family? As far as I know, your father and stepmother are not some sorts of loving parents, are they?" Megan stared at Jason. This man was probably the most disgusting human being she'd ever seen. Jason, however, didn't seem to be aware of the hatred under her eyes. Letting go of the woman, he patted on her shoulder gently, "Miss Dunn, if you can get that stamp for me, I'll give you 5 million. How about that? It's enough for you to renovate your Grandfather's clinic." This man really had done some investigations. He even knew about the clinic. But Megan pushed him away and ran back to the house. She didn't want to spend one more minute with this monster anymore. … When Megan went back to the room, Ivan had gone out of the bathroom. His cheeks didn't look that pale anymore. Seeing Megan's silhouette, a trace of smile played across his lips, "Are you wearing blue today, gorgeous?" Megan froze before she focused her eyes on her dress. Yes, she was wearing a blue dress today. Happiness and excitement expanded in her chest like a balloon, making her want to do a little dance. It seemed like Ivan was gonna be able to see again very soon. Megan rushed over and wrapped Ivan with her arms, eyes filled with tears of joy. Ivan felt the coldness against the back of his hand as Megan's tears fell. "Silly… Why are you crying?" He brushed away her tears with his thumb, "I'm gonna see your face soon. Aren't you happy about this?" Megan broke into a smile. Her feelings were mixed and complicated. She wanted Ivan to see. But when he finally could see, she must leave him to Stacy. Those feelings were churning in her mind as she cupped Ivan's face with her hands, staring into his beautiful eyes. How she wished he could always be hers… Ivan's cold fingers traced down from her brows to her lips, "Stacy, don't cry anymore. You're breaking my heart. I promise that when I can see, I will see to you have a big smile on your face every day. Now, will you smile for me, my lovely wife?" Suppressing her tears, Megan let out a sorrowful smile. As heartbreaking as she was at the moment, she would still do everything for him as long as he asked. "Thank you," Ivan smiled, "Stacy, I love you."
