Miller kept his promise. He arranged a room for Megan and the baby on the second floor. It was warm, spacious, and had a bathroom. Putting the baby on the soft bed, Megan finally felt safe and warm, for now. The clack of high heels against the floor made Megan alarm. It was clearly Stacy.
