CHAPTER 11The Circus Theatre was a gigantic building with a classicistic façade that formed one side of the Circus Plaza. To reach it, Hubert and Helga had to take the beach walk northward and then take a small lane that led off into the historic section of the town. The beach walk was crowded with people, mostly couples, who moved slowly, occasionally interrupting their stroll with a long glance across the water toward the orange ball of the sun.
