After a while I finally managed to open my eyes. I could roughly guess where I was staying even from before. A hospital room. An expensive one. The bed under me felt too comfortable for it to be a regular room.
Everything was still blurry. Ben kept holding my hand the whole time while I was awake, maybe even from before.
“Should I get you some water?” I turned my head to see him. I was pretty dizzy but I could see his face. His eyes were red. He had to be crying.
“The doctor gave you an IV drip to keep you hydrated just in case, but you might want to make your mouth feel less dry. I’ll be right back.” With that he let go of my hand and got up to get water.
