Chapter 23 • Presents and guided tours
Dimitri was preoccupied by what to give Anne for Christmas, and he wasn’t sure how to secure the necessary funds. Knowing his friend’s passion for the history of art and her interest in the Gothic monuments of Cyprus, he decided that along with his gift he would plan a tour for them during the holidays, which started on Friday. He wanted to explore Nicosia, which they could happily roam about in on their bikes, but for the other parts of Cyprus he would need mechanised transport, and that would be expensive. He considered it essential that they visit St Hilarion-Kyrenia-Bellapais, Famagusta and Colossi.
