Chapter 29
Azure loved the camp. The camp was much better than the wagons had been and bigger too. She didn’t have to sit behind Kurt on horses any longer or try to nap in bumpy carts that would toss her into the air when they went over a particularly big hump in the road. Also, she had almost an entire tent to herself to sleep and play in. Kurt had the other side, but the gray tent was big enough that she didn’t have to see him if she didn’t want to. Not that Azure didn’t like Kurt.
There was something about the man that itched the back of her neck.
People were happy in the camp too, at least that’s how it tasted to Azure. People sat around making things when they weren’t eating, they ate a lot, and when they weren’t doing either of those, they were having fun. The soldiers had taught
