Chapter 33
The sublevels of the Jedo Fuller felt suffocating with tight spaces between discarded metal cages and vague forms that loomed from the dimly lit corners. Other than a few storage spaces, most of the underground rooms were built and currently occupied by the various beasts that had to be fielded for use in the trials. Most of the monsters had been slain during the trials themselves, and the ones that were so far wounded as to be unable to recover were slaughtered a short time after the ending of the tests. Still, a few of the creatures had proven so resilient and deadly that they had managed to succeed at the trials in their own fashion and were, for the most part, still healthy deep within their underground confines.
