Alessia Mancini I turned to face him, my heart racing as I reached for the bathroom door handle. The cool metal beneath my fingers grounded me, reminding me of the reality beyond our steamy sanctuary. I took a deep breath, preparing to step out into the cooler air of the bedroom. As I pushed the door open, I froze. The soft murmur of voices drifted in from the living area, along with the unmistakable scent of coffee. My eyes widened as I realised our entire security team was gathered just outside. Heat flooded my cheeks as I became acutely aware of my state of undress, the thin towel suddenly feeling far too insubstantial. I instinctively took a step back, nearly colliding with Giovanni's broad chest. His warm chuckle vibrated through me as he placed a steadying hand on my lower back.
