Pryde and Fields were at either side of the door, ready to move. Pryde gave the signal and they both moved in. The only guard left was the operative manning the reception desk who brought up a weapon the instant he saw them appear. Bullets peppered the door as they came through, narrowly missing them and forcing them back to reassess their situation. “Now what?” Fields asked. “I’ll cover you as you try to flank him.
