Fields dropped back behind the hedge as Pryde ran for cover across the path. As he ran, he fired off several rounds at the shooter. The third shell hit him high on his shoulder, knocking him back, spinning him around slightly. He continued to fire, but the bullets went wide and high as the impact on his shoulder altered his aim drastically.
Fields joined the fray, firing around the side of the hedge which didn’t afford much cover.
Bullets from the other guards ripped through the hedge, forcing the female agent down into a prone position on the ground. Taking careful aim, she shot the nearest guard to her in the ankle; the bullet shattered the bone. The man’s leg collapsed under him and as he landed, and she fired once more, blowing a hole in his head, splashing his brains behind him.
