When the plane landed, they asked once again if I wanted them to drop me off but I politely declined and flagged down a taxi instead.
After reciting the address of my resort to the driver, I brought out my phone and called Lila.
She answered immediately as though she had been waiting for me to call even though it was way past midnight and closer to morning. “Girl! It took you long enough!” She hissed, not caring that she was practically yelling in my ear. “Did you just land? Isn’t your flight supposed to be for only six hours?”
