Selene’s POV
My heart ached when Zane left, but I didn’t want to push it, so I let him be. He needed time to himself.
I headed to my room, but my mind wasn’t settled at all. I needed some air. I didn’t care if Seraphina was out there with Cain. I needed some fresh air.
I walked out of my room and headed down the stairs.
I heard Cain and Seraphina talking. Seraphina turned, and her expression turned murderous.
She pointed directly at me. I was so confused and lost.
“You see?” she shouted. “This is why this is happening! Why did you come into our lives?”
The accusation hit me so hard I couldn’t speak.
Cain immediately stepped forward.
“Stop it, Seraphina.”
His voice was firm.
