My heart did an embarrassing little flip. “You’re impossible.” “And yet you still came on a date with me.” I took a bite of the pastry to avoid answering. His grin widened. The annoying Alpha’s brother knew exactly what he was doing. For a while, we sat together, talking and laughing while eating the food he had prepared. To my surprise, everything tasted amazing.
