"Easy, easy. Alex doesn't know our plan. But it seems to be related to you," Peter replied.
I furrowed my brow. "Me? What does that have to do with me?"
Peter glanced at me momentarily, then focused on driving again. "He still has feelings for you," Peter said simply.
I coughed at Peter's answer. "Nonsense. How could he? He shouldn't have abandoned Jonas and me if he still had feelings for me."
"You didn't tell him you were pregnant. Maybe things would have been different if you had." Peter snapped at me.
"And I must make a mess of Alex and Bianca's married life? Bianca loves Alex very much. I can't possibly...."
"Do you care about him?" Peter grinned as he teased me. "I'm already convinced you'll be fooled once you return to Wolftown. You're weak, Shirley."
