4. He Betrayed Me

1118 Words
(Shirley POV) "Let go of me!" I tried to rebel. My wolf barked out from inside my mind. I was so frustrated right now. The Silver Lycan Pack territory guards took me to a small, shabby, dark place. This is violence! They're cruel! "I told you I was Alex's mate! You're going to regret treating me like this!" I squealed. I was annoyed that they were making fun of me. They laughed as if they couldn't believe it. A man appeared. He looked at me very calmly. I smelled Alex's body scent, but I didn't see him. This man had just met Alex. But why didn't Alex show up? I searched for Alex's whereabouts. Oh, this is really sickening. I don't see Alex. Why didn't he show up? Why isn't he coming to see me? "Caleb, what should I do with this she-wolf?" one of the guards tried to hold me back. "Let me take care of her," the man called Caleb replied. Caleb looked at me. I swallowed for a moment. His gaze was too cold. He seemed like the type of right-hand man who was very obedient. "Let this woman go," Caleb ordered. The guards let me go. Now I was free and ready to meet Apex. "Where's Alex?" I asked. "I need to see him." Caleb exhaled. "Follow me," Caleb said. He then walked out of this shabby place. Caleb led me through the gate of the Silver Lycan Pack territory. I walked behind him. I was amazed that this place differed significantly from the Purple Moon Pack territory. I realized how big the Lycan territory was. They were the victors in the war with the shifters. The Silver Lycan Pack is very grand and also prosperous. It is evident from the infrastructure in this region. Caleb took me to an empty park. There was no Alex. I waited for him to make a statement. He was too calm. Meanwhile, I had to tell Alex about my pregnancy. "Where's Alex?" I asked again. "I am sorry, Lady. You can't see him. He's having dinner with an important guest," Caleb replied. "Important guests?" f**k with important guests. I have to see Alex no matter what. "Tell him I'm his mate. I'm Shirley Mendes of the Purple Moon Pack. He should be seeing me soon." Caleb looked incredulous at my words. I saw his expression clearly. "Mr. Brisney already has a mate, Lady. How could you possibly be his mate? They even got married a month ago." Caleb explained something that made my whole body tremble. What kind of agony is this? Why am I hearing something nonsensical like this? "What?" I tried to open my mouth. "This is not true. I'm his mate. We met two months ago. How could he have another woman as his mate?" I saw a luxurious castle-like residence. There were several guards in residence. A man came from the residence, and I knew who he was. He was the Crescent Moon Pack's Beta, Bruno Twain. It wasn't an enemy Pack, but I knew it was the weakest Pack in Wolftown. I saw Alex. I smiled and was about to approach him, but my steps were stopped when I saw a young woman embracing Alex's burly arms. She even rested her head on Alex's shoulder in a very spoiled manner. "Who is she?" I asked. I went over to Alex. Caleb tried to hold me back, but I managed to escape. "Alex!" I screamed in a loud voice. Alex turned his head. He looked at me but, a few seconds later, ignored me. Caleb again tried to hold me back. He used his strength so that I couldn't fight back. "Ah, let me go!" I shouted. I had to see Alex. I had to get an explanation for all of this. "Enough!" Caleb warned me. "You won't get anywhere by yelling. The woman standing with Alex suddenly walked towards me. While Alex remained standing on the terrace of his luxurious residence. "Who is this b***h?" The woman asked. "I am sorry, Luna. She's just a nuisance. I'll take care of it right away," Caleb replied. "Luna!" I was getting incredulous. "You're Luna Silver Lycan Pack?" I looked at Alex. He walked over. I saw clearly when he put his arms around the woman's body and smiled. "You're Shirley Mendes, the Alpha Purple Moon Pack's daughter, right?" Alex smiled kindly. I still remember that smile. Just like during our exciting first night. "What are you doing here?" "Do you know her?" the woman next to Alex asked. "Let me introduce her," Alex replied. "She is Bianca Twain, my mate and also my wife. And Shirley Mendes. We met during the full moon two months ago. We became good friends then. Isn't that right, Shirley?" My blood boiled when I heard Alex's confession directly. I couldn't understand why Alex was doing this to me. Two months ago, he clearly claimed me as his mate. But why would he say Bianca was his mate? What kind of nonsense is this? Bianca smiled. Her smile is too cynical. She extended her hand to me. I didn't know what to say. I couldn't possibly say that I was pregnant with Alex's child. I didn't want to take his hand. I didn't want to look stupid in front of them, either. "Why are you doing this to me, Alex?" I asked. I wanted an explanation. "Do what?" Alex asked as if he didn't understand. I felt so devastated. How could I tell Alex I was pregnant while he was happy with another woman. I pushed Bianca's hand away. I couldn't bear this pain. I turned around and left the Pack. Alex looked at me. I feel it. But he didn't call out to me. He even seemed fine after I left. "Why are you acquainted with your enemy's child?" Bianca asked Alex. "Just wanted to broaden my social circle," Alex replied. I heard Alex's words clearly even though I had run as far away as possible. Since I was eighteen years old. I have the ability to hear from a distance. I can't read minds like my dad does. I can hear from a distance even though I can't control my ability yet. I cried while running. I ran and ran until I didn't realize I had left Wolftown. I was still determining where I was now. I was on the road. I was in wolf form. I was exhausted. I was starving, and I fainted. "Miss, Miss?" A man's voice sounded soft, calling me. I didn't recognize that voice. I opened my eyes and saw a strange man. While I was in a place I didn't recognize.
