THE DISUSED BARN WAS lit by one incandescent light bulb that cast an eerie glow in the dark. Rubbish had accumulated in one corner of the dilapidated farm structure. The bin overflowed with half-eaten fast food, milk cartons, tins, and cardboard. Rats scurried around, helping themselves to Henry’s wealth of discarded leftovers. There were no amenities. Hanging on the wall were his paraphernalia, or more accurately his implements of torture: rope, whip, prod, shackles, pliers and chains. Jada noted that a camera was aimed at her.
