ANDY, MARY, AND JULIAN were on a Southwest Airlines enroute to Houston. The Boeing 737-300 wasn’t the best of planes to fly in, but the thirty-five-year-old flying machine at least offered a Business Class seat option. They checked in at California’s Ontario Airport for their connecting flight. For an unexplained reason, they were offered an upgrade, which Andy accepted graciously. This flight would stop over at Las Vegas before reaching Houston at 22:00, local time. Andy settled in, requested a glass of water and informed the flight attendant she didn’t want to be disturbed.
