Ace Sabrina Hime's POV
Ahhhhhh
BBBLLLAAGGG
My waist hurts! I just fell after tripping over a tiny rock. I've been balancing on one foot all night, and now it's morning and I want to sleep. I'm so tired. Hello, I'm still beautiful.
Hey Sabrina, get up and go back to your practice!
Ehhhh, auntie, I'm tired. I've been standing since yesterday morning. It's morning again now, and my arms are numb. I'm about to grow roots here.
I complained while sitting down and looking up at my aunt, who was now standing in front of me.
Ace Sabrina Hime!
She exclaimed, and I couldn't say anything because her nostrils were wide open.
Ugh, this again.
I'm sleepy, I groaned.
I went back to balancing on one foot. I could have been standing normally, but she insisted on me doing it this way. I'm so sleepy. I think I'm possessed by the spirit of laziness.
And because I was so sleepy, I closed my eyes, causing me to lose my balance.
Ahhhh...
Bbbblllllllaaaaaaggggg...
Ouch!
My beautiful face almost got hurt!
Ayyyysssttt!
I stood up again angrily.
Auntie, I don't want to anymore. Give me a break.
I pleaded with my aunt, but she seemed to be in a bad mood and was glaring at me with her arms crossed.
No, don't try to trick me. That won't work on me. Go back to your practice.
She snapped.
Oh, so you don't want me to be nice? Fine.
And then Ace Sabrina Hime 2.0 appeared.
WAAAAAHHHHHHH
RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN...
I DON'T WANT ANYMORE, I'M TIRED!
LET ME SLEEP FIRST, AUNTIE!
I screamed loudly as I ran away from my grumpy aunt.
ACE SABRINA HIME, COME BACK HERE! IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE PUNISHED...
My aunt screamed loudly.
I stopped for a moment and looked back at her.
BBBBBLLLLLLLEEEEEHHHHHH...
I DON'T CARE, I'M GOING TO SLEEP FIRST. BYEEEEEE, AUNTIE!
HAHA!
YOU'RE SUCH A MISBEHAVING CHILD!
I heard my aunt scream, but I didn't pay attention to her. I continued walking into the depths of the forest because there was a beautiful spring where I could rest. It was hidden and no one else knew about it, not even my aunt. I had made it my secret spot.
By the way, my name is Ace Sabrina Hime. You can call me whatever you want. I'm 17 years old and I live in a magical forest. I don't remember anything about my past, but I know that my aunt raised me. Since I was little, I've been training to fight, to think sharply, to move quickly, to be observant, and to be strong and resilient in any kind of battle. My aunt always reminds me not to trust anyone, even her, because the world is full of deceit.
How can I trust no one if I already trust her? Hayst, I'm getting too dramatic.
Anyway, I'm here at the spring. It's so peaceful and beautiful here. The air is fresh and there are colorful flowers everywhere.
I sat down on the edge of the spring and drank some water.
Ahhh, this water is so refreshing. It feels like it's restoring all my energy.
Okay, it's time to sleep.
I stood up and started climbing the most beautiful tree I could find. It was right in front of the spring, and it was huge and majestic. Its leaves were all gold and they shimmered in the sunlight. It was the most beautiful tree I had ever seen.
Just as I was about to climb the tree, I heard a strange noise.
Whoooooo whhhooooo whhhhhooo...
It was the sound of a man's voice.
Instead of climbing the tree, I hid behind it.
How could someone have strayed into this part of the forest? I had been coming here for years and I had never seen anyone else here before.
Could it be him?
No, that's impossible.
I shook my head as I talked to myself.
I peeked out from behind the tree and saw a tall man who had just dismounted from his horse. He was drinking water from the spring and he looked exhausted. He closed his eyes after he drank and seemed to be regaining his energy. He probably just came from a battle. I hadn't heard about any battles recently.
I was surprised when I saw him start to give his horse water from the spring.
What a strange man. Why doesn't he just get some water for his horse from somewhere else?
Doesn't he know that horses and humans have different saliva?
I was careful not to get my secret spring dirty. I was ready to confront him.
I covered the lower half of my face with a golden cloth so that only my golden eyes were visible. I also took out my golden sword, which my aunt had given me.
Fortunately, he didn't notice me. He was too busy looking at the spring.
I crept up behind him and pointed my sword at his neck. He flinched when he felt the sword on his neck and turned around.
Who are you, strange man?
Tornado o
L"UGH! BLAZE! BOOM!
A fiery blast rang out."
I lled and heard the ground rumble again. Thick smoke filled the air, and for a moment, I paused, sensing the absence of the ferocious creatures that had surrounded me. But my enemies were cunning. They attacked me all at once.
Luckily, I was still quick enough to dodge, but not all of their attacks. They'd wounded me.
"Tsk," I muttered. "You're testing my patience. Alright, that’s it."
I stood up, serious, feeling the hot energy in my palms and the image of fire flaring in my eyes.
"Fire of life!" I shouted, and with a roar,
GRRRRRRRRRRR
UUUUUGGGGGHHHHHHH
The surroundings were engulfed in smoke from my attack on these ugly monsters in this mysterious forest.
I waited for the smoke to clear, but when it finally did, I frowned. Not a single trace of the fifteen creatures I'd fought remained. I couldn't sense any presence at all. Even the trees around me felt... weightless.
It was as if they were floating like sheets of paper. Not just the trees, I murmured to myself. The entire forest. I felt nothing, as if I were standing in a blank box.
We'd been on many missions, but I'd never felt anything like this in this strange forest.
I continued to look around, but I was growing increasingly tired. Why did I feel like I'd run a marathon? What was happening to me?
I couldn't stay here any longer. I was running out of breath.
I quickly searched for Rros, my white horse. I found him not too far away and approached him.
As soon as I got close, I felt an overwhelming exhaustion. I was gasping for air, on the verge of passing out.
Despite this, I climbed onto Eros. No matter where we ended up, I had to get out of this forest. I hadn't been prepared for this mystery.
Eros ran, but nothing changed. I felt the same, and so did Eros. We were both struggling, as if we were sinking into a quagmire.
I knew this wasn't an illusion. We were both feeling it.
"Eros, don't worry," I said to my horse and to myself. "We'll get out of this forest."
A moment later, I heard the sound of rushing water. I looked around and pointed to the left side of the forest.
"Eros, there's a stream over there," I said softly. "Let's go there so we can rest. I'm really thirsty, and I'm sure you are too."
We quickly reached the stream. I dismounted and drank from the water. To my surprise, my wounds, which I didn't even know I had, disappeared in an instant. I felt my strength returning.
"This stream is magical," I muttered.
"Eros, come here and drink from this stream. It will restore your strength," I ordered.
My horse obeyed, but as he was about to drink, a sharp object pressed against my neck.
"Who are you?" a voice demanded. "And what right do you have to disturb my stream?"
I felt a cold chill run down my spine as I heard the woman's voice behind me. Why couldn't I sense her presence? Why couldn't I feel where she was? This had never happened to me before. I was one of the most powerful magic stone holders in the Academy, yet I was paralyzed by this sword at my throat. Why did I feel so helpless in this forest?
"Sir, don't even try to find out where my power comes from," she said. "I am far more powerful than you."
"How could you—"
"Don't ask any more questions," she interrupted. "Just give your horse some water from your hand. I won't let you dirty my stream."
Her cold words snapped me out of my thoughts. I realized that Eros needed to drink from the stream. Instead of turning around to face her, I gave my horse some water, just as she had instructed.
After I was done, I finally turned to face the creature behind me.
As our eyes met, time seemed to slow down.
She was a beautiful woman with long, golden hair and golden eyes. Her face was partially covered by a golden cloth, but her eyes were mesmerizing. It was the first time I'd ever found a woman beautiful, and her powerful aura, combined with her golden battle attire, made her even more intriguing. Could she be a fairy? Perhaps she was the owner of this forest, as she had claimed.
"Have you finished staring and trying to figure out what kind of creature I am, sir?" she asked, breaking me out of my trance.
I felt embarrassed. I had been staring at her.
"Tsk," she scoffed. "You're so easily distracted."
