Alira POV
"Ugh, training was brutal!" I groaned, flopping onto the couch. "I could really use a break."
Sandra laughed. "I know, right? But think of all we've learned."
We were finally getting a day off. Sabrina had given us pe
rmission to relax.
"I'm going to savor every minute of this," Dustin mumbled, already starting to doze off.
"Me too," I replied. "Remember when we thought our powers were all we needed?"
"Yeah, those were simpler times," Aura chuckled.
Leander sat up
. "Hey, where are Ice and Sabrina anyway?"
"Probably in the garden," I replied.
Sabrina had really opened our eyes. She'd
.
shown us that being a royal wasn't just about having the strongest magic. It was about responsibility and teamwork.
"I'm so grateful for everything she's taught us," I said.
"Me too," Aira agreed. "Without her, we'd still be stuck thinking we were invincible."
"Speaking of invincible," I grinned, "want to go mess with Ice and Sabrina?"
Everyone laughed. "Absolutely," Sandra replied.
Ice POV:
We were in the garden.
"What kind of training will we have tomorrow?" I asked Sabrina.
She looked at me, one eyebrow raised. "You should be asking what your training will be."
"What? Why?" I was confused.
"Don't you remember you have unfinished training?" she replied.
I scratched my head. Of course, I did.
"So, what will our training be tomorrow?" I teased.
She chuckled. "Why would I tell you? So you can have an advantage?"
We sat in silence for a moment. Then she said, "Ice, after the training, I have to return to the Crystal Forest. And after I finish training you and the others, you can't come back to the Crystal Moon Forest."
My heart sank. I didn't want her to leave.
"I know," I said softly. "I just... I don't understand why I feel this way."
She looked at me with a sad smile. "I know, Ice. But you have a duty as a royalty."
Suddenly, I reached out and gently touched her cheek. Our foreheads brushed together.
She closed her eyes, and for a moment, the world seemed to fade away.
"Sabrina," I whispered, "there's one thing I'm sure of. I don't want this moment to end."
She didn't say anything, but I knew she felt it too.
Alira POV:
"Hey, guys!" I called out, breaking the silence.
Ice and Sabrina jumped, startled. They were sitting so close together on the bench, their heads almost touching. Their eyes were locked, and their faces were mere inches apart.
"What are you doing here?" Sabrina aske
d, her voice a little breathless.
"We're just having some fun," I said,
trying to play it off.
"Yeah, we're bored,"
Dustin added.
Ice and Sabrina smiled
. "Join us," Ice said, patting the space beside him.
We gathered around, and for a while, we just sat there, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the garden. We talked about everything and nothing, sharing stories and laughter. I realized that even though I was curious about the connection between Ice and Sabrina, it was more important to enjoy this moment with my friends.
As the night wore on, we decided it was time to head back. We said our goodbyes, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth and contentment.
