Lilianya followed the pirate women through the trees as they circled around toward their camp. The women weren’t slackers by any means. Lilianya bit back a smile as she saw their formation. She was glad the pirates hadn’t forced their women to be simply homemakers, like the empire commonly practiced. Perhaps that was part of the reason these people were outcasts.
She kept her eyes on her surroundings, inspecting them every step of the way. She never gave up. If they reached the camp as the ships arrived on the bank, they would never escape. She had to make a move soon, otherwise they’d be prisoners.
