Lilianya was right. The pirate ship anchored a mile north of the attack. No one left the ship. Whatever they were doing, they didn’t need to reach land. They just needed to focus on something besides steering.
It had to be the injured.
“You were right,” Paedyn whispered.
“We need to capture them.”
“We cannot capture the entire ship. Unless you want me to go get help.”
Lilianya shook her head. “No. I doubt they’ll be here long. We have to make our move. And we don’t need the entire ship. Just a few of them.”
“How do you want to play this?”
“We need to be cautious. Sneak up around them.”
“Won’t they be watching?” Paedyn asked. “Especially if they’re only stopping temporarily before heading back home.”
