Chapter Sixteen Thea yelled, “Bailey! Bailey, girl! Bailey! Come on, girl.” She whistled. The poor dog must be so confused after being abandoned, then rescued, then kicked out the door. Damn that drug-crazed witch. She walked back around the front of the house, glancing up at the window of the office. She could see shadows moving. Jake and Nick had disappeared in there with the cell phones after Thea had persuaded Greg to give them his passcode and his car keys.
