I found Educated by Tara Westover, a story about a girl who grew up not far from where I did in Idaho, only she grew up with Latter-day Saint survivalists as parents. I thought it was an interesting read when it came out a few years ago. I wondered if he was reading it or had read it in preparation for coming to Southeast Idaho.
I heard footsteps, and I quickly set down the books. Remy came around the corner with Bark Ruffalo following.
“Find anything?” I asked.
Remy shook his head. “No holes or loose chain link or anything. But I’m going to leave him inside and the doggie door closed so he can’t escape again. Shall we?”
I walked outside with him trailing behind me.
“Stupefy, Bark! I’ll see you soon,” he said.
“Where are we going for brunch?” I asked as I stepped onto the grass.
