“Dinner, huh?” He took a bite of pancakes, chewing thoughtfully. “Dinner with your friend and her wife?”
I nodded. “She also works at King High. She’s the PE teacher.”
“And what does her wife do?”
“Jane works at a local insurance agency.” I paused for a moment, unsure I wanted to bring up Sean, but I felt it was important. “Zharia introduced me to Sean.”
“How did that go down?”
“What do you mean?”
He held up a finger to indicate he wasn’t finished chewing. “Sorry. So, I always love hearing the story of how two people fell in love. How did you meet? What was it like?
