"And what do you want me to do about that? Keep you safe and you keep my secret?" I ask her with a smirk
I see the hope in her eyes die as she takes in my words
"I could easily have you killed myself and do your attacker a favor" I add
It made so much sense thinking about it.
"Please .. please Dom. I can't go back home I..." She trails off as she realizes what she has said
"Can't go home why?" I ask her. I know exactly why she can't go home but I won't show her how much I know. Let me see how much she is willing to tell me
"I don't have a home..." She trails off..
That was a lie and I resist the urge to punish her. If Alessandra Romano was mine she would be over my lap getting a spanking right now. I grit my teeth as my c**k hardens...she would make such a good little one. It has been a long time since any female or Omega interested me and I could easily take her home and sate my hunger...but I was smart, and a smart man wouldn't put his c**k in the cunt of an enemy.
"Get out of my office" I say and I take her and even myself by surprise.
"Please Dom. I don't want to die" she says softly and I see how much it is taking for her to beg me. A woman like her has pride huh?
"If you don't get out I will kill you myself. You are lucky that I am letting you walk away after wasting my time. I will let you live and not kill you for what you saw, but only because someone is after you and you won't have time to come through with your threat of reporting me....not that anyone can do anything to me even if they found out" I say...my voice and eyes cold
She looks at me for a second and sees the look on my face and she sighs. She pulls herself out of the chair and turns to leave
... down boy... My c**k is straining as I watch her ass bounce in that jeans as she walks out. I almost call her back...I almost do I look away and distract myself till I hear the door open and close.
The little s**t almost had me convinced that she was in danger. She was a sly little thing and she was good. I mean she was almost able to tempt me.
Alessandra Romano was not in any danger. She was a con and a liar and she was also an obedient child. Gideon sent me files on her and very detailed reports about her whereabouts for the last five years and I hated what I saw
Alessandra Romano, niece to the one and only Alpha Diablo Romano. One of the few rival families that remained in Italy. The family was a pain my neck and no matter how badly I tried to have them eliminated they always had a way to escaping
Alpha Diablo Romano headed the Romano syndicate, a small family in Italy that uses to run a beach of the Mafia there before I took over seven years ago. Alessandra was an orphan having lost both parents when she was a child and she had a younger sister. They were both raised by Diablo and I know more than anything that they have been exposed to the business in many occasions
The reports shows that she inherited a building from her grandfather and she left home a year ago. No one has contacted her from home and she hasn't contacted home.
I didn't think that was bad but I think it was suspicious that she would find her way to me. It wasn't a coincidence that she saw me kill that bastard and the female. Diablo Romano was a smart smart man and I know he is full of trickery and intelligence. I wouldn't underestimate him to plan all this with Alessandra just to take me down.
I remember my commanders convincing me against taking her from her home and just taking what I want from her regardless. There was a long conversation last night between my three commanders and Gideon and at the end of the day.. I had to agree with them.
She wasn't in any danger and I wasn't scared that she was. The next time she came close to me I would f**k the life out of her.
Alessandra's POV
I turned my black, convertible Mercedes SLK into the parking garage under the building that I knew Dom Armani lived in, and swiped again at my eyes thus swerving again and barely missing the wall before I righted the car.
I had no idea how I got there, maybe a mixture of luck and adrenalin, and maybe because I had drived by many times since I had been looking for him in the city.
I had no idea why I even went there except it was safest place I could think of of. Not to mention, I was together enough to know I couldn’t go to the police. Also not to mention, it was in my mind since I’d passed by here that very afternoon.
But really, who cared? I was there. It was as good a place as any.
My car was a mess, I’d hit a couple of things on the way, I didn’t know what. I felt the bumps, heard the crunching and scrapes but I just kept going.
I didn’t park. I stopped on a screech of tires when I saw the door leading to the stairs. I couldn’t wait for the elevator, Alfonso could be right behind me not to mention, I wasn’t sure I could stand.
I threw open my car door and just that took a lot out of me. So much that when I tried to get out, I fell forward on all fours (or all threes, as that was all the extremities I had working for me at that moment) to the concrete floor.
This took a lot out of me too. So much that I threw up right there. I couldn’t see much, the sweat and blood were stinging my swelling eyes but I could see there was blood mixed with the bile on the pavement. I could also see my manicure was ruined which pretty much stunk but at that moment it was the least of my worries.
I pulled myself up using the car door and my one good hand. My other hand and arm were useless to me. Actually, my body was pretty useless considering that every inch of it screamed out in pain but I tried to ignore that. I wasn’t really certain that continuing to breathe was a good goal but my body for some reason wasn’t letting me give up.
I got to my feet and lurched forward.
I was in my nightgown or what was left of it. I knew I had no underwear on. I had no idea if the remains of my nightgown were covering me, if I was decent.
I’d deal with that new humiliation later
I staggered to the door with the stenciled sign that read “STAIRS”. It took me two tries but I got it open and I pushed myself through.
Nero's POV
Nero stared at the screens in the the surveillance room of Dom's penhouse.
Nero took night duty two or three times a week. The other men thought he was crazy but he liked it. He was one of Dom's three commanders and very up high in the ranks but he liked to do something as simple as watching surveillance although it was normally reserved for the house security guards.
Since he was a kid, he had a weird sleeping pattern. It drove his mama nuts. He slept in the late afternoon and evening, was up all night and morning. His Mom couldn’t break him of it, the doctors couldn’t, no one could.
Throughout his adulthood, to fit his life around it, he’d taken a number of night jobs (mostly security) but they sucked. This job was the perfect fit.
It was boring a lot of time but when it wasn’t boring, it was really not boring.
Nero liked the anticipation, he fed off it. Because when something happened, he had to be on his game.
Days, weeks, months of nothing happening could weaken most men’s instincts.
But Nero was born to be sharp and alert at three o’clock in the morning. If something happened, he’d never let the team down.
That was why, when he saw on the monitors the Merc screeching to a halt in the garage, Nero was ready.
He reached out to the phone, hit the speaker button then number two and listened to it ring.
Zip and Bruno had called in five minutes ago saying they’d be back in five. The car phone in their Ford Explorer was number two on speed dial.
Then Nero watched the woman fall out of the car. Her head fell down like she couldn’t hold it up. One arm was dangling uselessly on the ground. She was wearing a silky, lacy nightgown but it was ripped and torn.
He was rising out of his chair when he heard Zip’s voice answer the phone.
“Nero.” he said
“f**k,” Nero swore.
“Nero?”
“Get here, now. There’s a woman –” Nero stopped as he watched her pull herself up using the car door.
For a second, he froze. She had clearly been beaten badly and was covered in blood.
“Nero. Status,” Zip barked into the phone.
"Call an ambulance and call Dom. I’m leaving the room,” Nero responded.
“Nero –” Bruno said but Nero didn’t reply, he didn’t even disconnect, he was gone
He immediately ran through the house about to make his way to the doorway to the stairs since he saw that she was making her way to the stairs when he met with his boss walking through the elevator into the living room
"Boss. It's Alessandra Romano" his voice changed as he breathed heavily
No other words were exchanged as they both rushed through the stair case down the many floors and then they made it to her.
He didn't need to turn to see Dom behind him to know that the dark energy changing the room was from him. An energy so dark and ugly that even he could hardly breathe.
When they got to her, Alessandra looked like she had struggled to climb the stairs but fainted in the their step.
Dom abruptly pushed him out of the way and rushed to her, and he stood in shock and Dom carefully carried her up. From up close Nero saw that she has a nasty cut of her face, her hand really was broken and there was blood between her legs....he didn't want to think about what that indicated.
The sound of an ambulance got close and they immediately sprung into action. They rushed out through the stair door and made it out in time to see the ambulance coming to a stop.
Bruno and zip were out of their car and running towards them.
The ambulance team immediately went into action taking over Alessandra and putting her in the gurney and on straps.
"Her blood pressure is low...."
"Loosing blood...."
"En route to the hospital...."
Words of the medics kept filtering in and out as I stood there in shock as they conversed with Bruno and zip while setting her up into the ambulance.
It has been me, it had been my say...all of us that made us reject protecting her, and now she was here brutalized and I wasn't sure she was going to make it by the look of things
