The woman's voice broke through the stillness. "Now, I want you to imagine a light inside your mind. It can be any color you choose, and it can be as bright or as dim as you wish."
Sarah imagined a soft, golden light, and it began to grow within her mind. It shimmered and glowed, filling her with a sense of peace.
"Good," the woman said. "Now, I want you to shape that light into something you love. It can be anything you want, as long as it brings you joy."
Sarah's thoughts drifted to her childhood, to a small cabin by a lake where she had spent many happy hours. She focused on the memory, and the light within her mind began to take the shape of the cabin. It grew until it filled her entire mind, and she could almost feel the wind on her face and the water lapping at her feet.
"Very good," the woman said. "Now, I want you to imagine that cabin is surrounded by a protective barrier. This barrier is your mind's defense against any negative thoughts or emotions that might try to enter. Do you understand?"
"Imagine that the barrier is made of the strongest material you can think of," the woman continued. "It is impenetrable, and it will keep you safe. Do you have it?"
Sarah nodded. She could see the cabin, surrounded by a shining, shimmering wall. It looked impossibly strong, and she felt a sense of calm wash over her.
"Good," the woman said. "Now, I want you to imagine that there is a door in the barrier, and on the other side of the door is your power. Can you see it?"
Sarah saw the door, a simple wooden door set into the shining barrier. It was slightly ajar, and she could see a warm, golden light seeping through the cracks. She took a deep breath and reached out with her mind, grasping the doorknob and turning it.
The door swung open, and a rush of energy flooded through her. It was unlike anything she had ever experienced, a pure and untamed power that filled her with a sense of wonder.
"Now, direct that power," the woman said. "Turn it into something tangible, something that you can see and touch."
Sarah focused her mind, imagining the energy taking shape. It grew and swirled, solidifying into the form of a beautiful bird, its feathers shimmering with the same golden light. It was breathtaking, and she felt a surge of pride and accomplishment.
"Wonderful," the woman said. "Now, imagine that bird is connected to you by a thin, golden cord. That cord is your bond with your power, and it will allow you to control it. Do you see it?"
