Boris hesitated for a moment, recalling Maribel's usual attitude toward Camila. It wasn't surprising that she would hang up upon hearing Camila's voice.
"It's not your fault. If she didn't tell you what was going on, how could you have known?"
But now wasn't the time to dwell on it. Waving his hand, he said, "Let's find her first."
Camila quickly grabbed his arm. "I'll come with you. This warehouse is huge, and an extra set of hands can only help."
Boris nodded. "Good idea."
Compared to Maribel's sensitivity and narrow-mindedness, Camila's thoughtfulness and kindness were much more likable.
Once they found Maribel, he was determined to tell her about everything that Camila had done for her. If Maribel still hated Camila after that, it would be her own problem.
