Chapter 5: THE RULES

We all move out to see other ladies too moving out, some of them have change their outfit to something more casual, no simple

We all gather in front of the building with madam Susana addressing us

I will be leading you to the hall where all the necessary information regarding your four year stay here will be pass unto you

We all follow her lead to the hall with the boys already in the hall where we all settle down

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome once again, it Madam Lilian again

Am here on behalf of the school director who is away on a very important trip for the betterment of the school, am Madam Lilian the head teacher.

While you are here there are some rules you need to follow

1. No sneaking out of the school premises

2. Only when the condition warrants should you use your power

3. You are allowed to practice the usage of your power according to how you are being taught but it should not cause harm to your fellow colleagues

4. You are not allowed to be rude to any of the staff as there’s is no staff who is below you

5. You are not allowed to be rude to your seniors, they have years of experience being in the school than you are

6. No group or association should be formed without proper notice and agreement by the school director

7. Do not seek advice from your friend as you are all fresh year student, theirs is room for guidance and counseling from the school counseling team

8. Lastly study the sound and number of times the following bells will ring what each of them signals

Gbaun gbaun…..the bell rang six times, that’s is time for you to wake up in the morning for the morning exercise

Gbaun gbaun……same sound and intensity as the first one but this time around it four times, that’s the time for you to freshen up after the exercise and go for breakfast

Gbaun….just once, indicates that breakfast is over and you should go for your classes, depending on number of classes you have, you can go for lunch at your own convenient time

Gbaun, gbaun……..four times again, tells you to go for dinner

And lastly gbauuuuuuuun, gbauuuuun…….six times different intensity and sound, that is lights out and you should retire for the night

Purrrrrrrrrnnnnn…………it sounds three times like a trumpet, that Indicates an emergency and you all should gather in the hall. If the same sounds is heard over and over again it also means an emergency and you should gets back to the safety of your hostels wherever you are

Gbaaaaaauuuuun just once, means you should gather in the hall either for a meeting or an information need to be pass to you, that’s all

Thank God, Just when I thought another bell will ring and am already tired of the sound and it already mixing up in my brain Madam

To my displeasure she said she will go over it again so we can imprint it in our head.

As time goes on you will be meeting your teachers according to your schedule,

How do we know our schedules ma’am, a guy ask

The scrolls giving to you earlier today has both your schedule and the school map on it, any other question, she ask waiting for questions, in the absence of none, you are dismiss, she said

We all file out of the hall, it was easy and less rowdy because it has four doors

We heard the bell almost immediately we are dismiss, we all stood still to count and recollect what the bell is for, it sounded four times, it time for dinner, Flora said beside me

You sure are smart don’t you I said noticing her for the first time since we entered the hall

But how do we know where the restaurant is, I ask

You mean kitchen, Lady unknown, Catalina said joining us from God knows where

Yeah whatever vamp, I said in my mind, I dare not sat it our less she suck my blood, ewww, I can’t believe am talking to a real vampire

Follow my lead we heard a young man said,

We all look up to see master Mark who took the boys earlier and we all followed him

We reach the rest…ok kitchen, it so so big, bigger than the hall with long tables and chairs that can accommodate six people on both sides. On the tables are the menu

Wow one thing that shows they are modern here

Flora, Catalina and I took a sit in the middle of the kitchen with some boys who join us, we are the only girls on this table of twelve people

A young woman in an apron who look like a chef come to ask what we want before going back

Not long she came back with our orders without m it together, it was so perfect that I wonder how she deliver the meals to the twelve of us that ordered twelve different delicacy with no mistake, she didn’t bring a jotter when she came early, did she?, I ask myself

Wow her IQ must be 100+ the aroma of the food quickly fill the kitchen

Are you not eating, Flora ask picking up her fork , I look up to see the girls or well ladies and gentlemen already digging in

She look like she wants to complain but decide against it, at first I eat slowly trying to mimick the others, they eat elegantly, everything about them screams rich

But the food is so delicious that I forget etiquette, I started to eat last but am the first to finish

About an hour plus going to two if am correct the bell began to ring, it time to go to bed but none of us seems to be making an attempt to stand up, except some people who stood and leave I guess they know there way around must be the senior students

When the bell ring the fourth time, master Mark and Madam Susana came again and lead us to our hostel informing us that we are on our own tomorrow and therefore we should all the along our scrolls and bud us good night, we enter the room with Ariana behind us .

I decided to take a shower but Ariana beat me to it so I stayed to wait till she finish but seems like it takes her forever to because it bell that wake me the next morning.
