POV: Dinah The dinner table is unusually quiet, bordering on awkward. Jax, who normally can't go five minutes without talking, has suddenly decided to act serious, eating in silence for once. Mara sits directly across from me. She glances at me several times during the meal before finally speaking up. "I only found out after work that my parents came by this afternoon," she begins, her voice polite but carrying a hint of tension. "It seems they had a bit of a conflict with Miss Dinah."
