Mayhap it was fate seeing Gustav again on her first night at the brothel. His presence made her focus on what she has to do, rather than keep on thinking about her mistakes from the past. He is a good man and he was not selfish in giving a helping hand. Despite his drunkenness, Gustav understood that what she was talking about was a serious matter.
