One Month Later
James and I were backing up for our trip. I decided it was time to search for Hope and Holton. After the battle with Michael, our whole coven was buzzing with what happened. The warriors were proud of me for how I held my ground, and of course I explained that I didn’t do it by myself. We don’t know how long until Michael was going to wait before he came after me again. It’s possible he sensed the others in my mind that night and will go after them next. I tried to call out to Aunt Avery to ask her questions, but she hasn’t shown up yet, so I’m taking matters into my own hands.
“Are you slacking or taking a break?” James came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. I was standing on the balcony letting my body soak up the sun.
