Chapter 39 The sound of the two bullets tore at her heart. Madeline turned around slowly. She knew Ciaran couldn’t be dead, but she had to see with her own eyes. Ciaran and Tadgh pulled themselves up from the floor. A bullet had hit Ciaran’s left shoulder and Tadgh’s right leg. Madeline looked again at Stephen.
