When Virgo left, I was just sitting on the couch in their cabin like an owl. Doing nothing, quiet and out of words. She's right, hindi ko alam ang nangyayari doon, hindi ako sigurado kung totoong ligtas siya doon o hindi, tama din siya na dapat mag tiwala nalang ako sa kaniya.

Pero hindi ko naman talaga maiwasang mag alala. Ang sabi nila, nakakatakot daw doon. Yung ibang taga dito na nirecruit ni Velasco noon, yung nagka PTSD, yung iba naman, mas naging matapang, kaya hindi ko alam kung ano ang paniniwalaan ko doon. Ang sabi, magiging elite force lang daw sila sa negosyo ni Velasco, na para bang internship lang iyon. Pero ewan!

Napalingon ako sa pinto nang biglang may sumulpot papasok. It's Pierce. He's panting and looking around, like he's looking for someone. I stood up and he raised a brow in shock when he saw me.

"S-si Virgo?" He said, whilst breathing fast. Was he running? He looks worried, scared and angry at the same time.

Nonetheless, I didn't know how to answer his question. I walked closer to him and took his shaking hand. He flinched when our hands touched and I felt his breath shiver. I know this feeling. The feeling that your beloved is going to do something that's going to get them in trouble and you can't do anything about it because it's their choice. I know this, because I love Virgo. Just like how.. Pierce.. loves.. her.. too. I guess?

Binawi niya ang kamay at inilagay sa likuran niya. "Where is she?" He impatiently asked.

I sighed heavily. Trying to stop myself from tearing up. "She left with Urel."

Nagtiim ang bagang niya. His nostrils furrowed and he sighed in frustration through his nose. He went inside and closed the door with so much force I flinched. He went to Virgo's room to check if she really left and when he came out, sadness and worry was all over his face. He stood outside her room emotionless. Isinandal niya ang likod sa nakasarang pintuan ng kwarto ng kapatid ko at dahang dahang nahulog sa sahig, habang nakatakip ang dalawang palad sa mukha.

Worry drenched me inside and so I ran up to him and tried to cheer him up.

"It'll only be for two weeks, she made a deal, she wanted this." I tried to be as supportive of my sister as much as I could.

I rubbed his back to try and calm him down. "She's strong, whatever happens thre, she can do it. She can fight it, Pierce, believe me." I gulped at what I just said. Even I can't convince myself that.

"She's not going to be safe there, Ri." Pierce said firmly. He was trying to contain his anger. I saw fury in his eyes, but he tried to calm his voice down. "I just know it. Wala akong tiwala sa Urel na iyon. Malakas ang kutob ko na may masama siyang balak kay Virgo." Napakunot ang noo ko.

"W-what do you mean?" Medyo kinakabahang tanong ko.

Ini-angat niya ang mukha at nilingon ako. Pulang pula na ang kaniyang ilong at pisngi, nakatiim na din ang panga niya at umiigting sa galit.

"Why would a Velasco recruit an Argente? Pati si Urel a alam niya kung gaano ka taas taasan ang pamilya niyo. Pero bakit siya? Kasi may balak siya. Hindi ko alam kung ano, pero sigurado akong may balak siya." Anger then hovered the sadness in Pierce's eyes. "I'm not going to let him hurt my Virgo." He said in a small voice and looked away, like he's ashamed he said that.

Hindi na ako nagulat. I knew it. He likes Virgo. I've seen them two around the camp often, pero akala ko friendly lang kasi hindi naman sila ganoon ka touchy and sweet pag nadadatnan ko sila. Knowing Virgo, she's very sweet and clingy, pero not in an annoying way. But I just knew that they had something going on between them.

Natigilan si Pierce at agad akong nilingon. "I-I mean— It's not that-"

"I know. It's okay, I support you two." I gave him a reassuring smile and he gave me a small one.

I was about to ask him again about his assumption on what's going to happen to Virgo when someone barged in the cabin again.

"Pers, putangina! Medic ka ba't mo iniwan yung pasyente mo doon-" Natigilan si Archer nang makita kami ni Pierce na nakaupo sa sahig habang hawak ko ang likod niya at tinatapik tapik.

His gaze went to me then to Pierce, I saw worry in Archer's eyes when he saw his brother's vulnerable state. He quickly knelt down in front of his brother and trapped both of his cheeks in his palms.

"What happened? Sinong umaway sa'yo?!" Alalang alala siya habang hinahawakan ang mukha ni Pierce. He's slightly squeezing his cheeks with his palms as he turn Pierce's head to check any bruises or scratches o ano.

Umingos lamang si Pierce. "Kuya naman eh! Ano ako, grade two?! Wala!" Reklamo niya at nag iwas ng tingin.

"Eh 'bat ka nag nagdadrama diyan?!" Medyo pagalit na anito. "May ginagamot ka doon tapos iniwan mo lang? Ano bang eksena mo ha?" Aniya sabay tapik sa ulo ni Pierce.

Umirap lamang si Pierce sabay tapon ng tingin sa'kin. Napunta naman ang atensyon ni Archer sa'kin sa pagtingin ni Pierce.

He noticed my red eyes and furrowed. "What happened to you, baby?" He asked so sweetly and held my hand, away from Pierce's back.

Nilingon ko muna si Pierce na nakatingin lamang sa kawalan at mukhang walang paki-alam sa pinag uusapan namin ni Archer.

I gave him a sad smile. "Virgo.. left, with Urel. At sabi naman ni Pierce, hindi siya ligtas doon. I don't want to think like that, kasi may tiwala ako sa kapatid ko, pero... hindi naman kasi m-maiwasan diba—" my voice broke at the thought of my sister being hurt.

Archer then gathered me in his arms and I rested my head on his shoulders. He rubbed my head and placed kisses on my forehead as he calm me down.

"Kuya don't tell me you don't suspect it." Walang buhay na ani Pierce habang nakatingin parin sa kawalan. "The only reason Urel took Virgo is for revenge—"

"Shut up, Pers." Archer said firmly.

I turned to them with a confused look. "What? What revenge?"

Archer stared at me for a few seconds, na parang nag aalinlangan siya, before placing a soft kiss on my lips. "Gutom ka? Libre kita, dali." He said in a gentle voice which gave me butterflies in the stomach. Nagpaiwan si Pierce sa cabin nila Virgo, hihintayin niya daw ang pagdating ni Ares.

Kami naman ni Archer ay papuntang diner. We sat at our usual seat by the lake view. He ordered the food and started conversing with me. We did some catching up, I've been busy with Chandler's take over request, Archer with his senior duties. And also lately, his father has been calling him often.

"By the way, Mom invited you again for dinner." He shook his brows and teased me. "Yieee kikiligin 'yaaan. Inimbitahan siya ng mama ng crush niyaaa."

Napatawa ako sa asar niya. "Yuck! Baliw. Saan daw?"

He chuckled and smirked whilst still eating. "Sa bahay parin. Payag ka?"

I scoffed. "Why not?" Ayoko namang mag decline kasi nakakahiya eh baka ma bad shot pa ako sa mommy niya.

"Payag ba ako?!" Aniya. Kunot noong tiningnan ko siya. He smiled and said he was joking.

Ang haba ng kwentuhan namin hindi ko na namalayan na pagabi na pala. He order us dessert and we continued with our chika.

"Alam mo ba, na-miss kita?" He pouted and gave me an uwu look. I smiled at his cute face. His wavy hair is messy again and so I reached to comb his hair back. He closed his eyes as I comb his hair back.

"I missed you." He said and grabbed my hand and kissed it repeatedly while still closing his eyes. I chuckled when he finished. Kinikilig na ako dito, 'wag ka ngang shunga diyan Archer!

"Miss? Eh nagkikita-kita naman tayo dito ah?"

"Eh? Iba iyon. Hindi naman tayo gan'to kalapit. Gusto ko nga yung... mas malapit pa dito." Napamulagat ako nang maramdaman ang kaniyang kamay sa inner thigh ko from under the table. I quickly slapped his hand away and consciously looked around.

"Baliw, tumigil ka nga!" Pabulong na ani ko habang pigil ang mapangiti.

After we finished eating, hinatid na naman ako ni Archer sa cabin. Gabi na pero hindi pa masyadong late. Nang makapasok kami sa cabin, napakunot na naman ang noo ko nang hindi pa sina Gracey naka uwi. I just recently found out from Pierce na kasama niya si Grace sa med bay area, si Primrose naman busy siya palagi sa weapon room. Minsan nagsasabay sabay naman kaming kumain, at nag momovie marathon na din kami dito pag may time, pero usually na talaga silang late makabalik.

I was taking off my sweater when I heard Archer whistle.

"Oohh, walang tao." His baritone voice echoed in me and lowkey turned me on. I was folding my sweater on the couch when I felt a set of strong arms wrapped around my waist. "Walang tao." He whispered against my ear which sent shivers down my goddamn spine! He kissed the back of my ear and unconsciously, I tilted my head to the side to give him more access.

I stared at his eyes and all I could see in curiosity, with a hint of fear in it.

"I'd rather die before that happens."

He blinked twice before licking his lower lip and looked away. "W-weh? Di nga?" Napatawa ako sa mapang-asar na aniya.

"Alam mo kung bakit?" Tanong ko habang nakatingin parin sa kaniya.

He faced me and his cheeks are slightly blushing. "B-bakit?"

Inilapit ko ang mukha ko sa kaniya binigyan siya ng halik sa labi. Ot was just a peck and so I put my forehead against his with my eyes closed.

"Kasi mahal kita." Bahagya siyang napamulagat sa sinabi ko. Napamulat na din ako at ibinalik ang sarili sa dating posisyon. "And I'm not going to let anything or anyone get in between the two of us."

"Talaga?" He looked up at me. Tumango ako at napangiti ito na parang bata. "Kahit pamilya pa natin 'yon?" Naging seryoso bigla ang mukha niya at itinago ang mukha sa braso ko.

"Kahit si Lord pa 'yan." Pagbibiro ko.

He chuckled and nodded. "I love you, beb." I smiled at what he said.

"I love you too, simp." He chuckled and we both dozed off to sleep.

Kahit pamilya pa namin iyon, baguhan pa man ang relasyon namin, alam ko na na malalim na ang pagkahulog ko kay Archer. He captivated me in so many ways. His little simpy actions, cute ways, corny pick up lines and lame dad jokes. He swooned me with his duality that he only lets out on me. He's perfect. Hinding hindi ko na makikita ang sarili na iba ang makasama sa bihay hangga't sa pagtanda. In the little time we spent together, I've leaned and felt forever in his arms. And I am not letting that go.
