Maria's Point of View I pushed the door open, and there was Martha, my twin's nanny, her expression filled with concern. "They couldn't sleep earlier... They're waiting for you," she said anxiously. I offered her a quick smile as I stepped inside the house. "Are they upstairs?" I inquired while making my way to the kitchen for a glass of water. Martha followed closely behind, replying, "Yes... they're playing." She paused next to me, "They want to know why you're home so late." I turned to her, "I ran into their father.
