Skylar’s POV
It had seemed like we had only been reunited for the shortest time, but hours had passed. Jase spoke animatedly about what he had been doing over the last 12 years since I left. 12 years seemed like a lifetime, yet no time at all.
We walked to the small café overlooking the lake that was a 20-minute walk away, grabbed sone food and drinks, and wondered back to our little bench and ate. My mind wonderd to our unch time dinner dates at school.
