Blood Moon

Chapter Four- Autumn's POV

 I saw her coming, a young girl approaching Alexander all smiles, even when I'm here sitting on his lap. A clear display he had found his true mate. 

"Hello Alpha Alexander '' she cooed. 

  I growled at the girl warning her. She flinched away, her eyes went wide with fear as she looked between me and my mate. That angered me even more, I felt my wolf fighting to take control. I jumped out of Alexander's lap and stood in between her and my mate.

 "MINE!" I growled as I started to approach her. As quickly as I took a step I felt Alexander's arms snake around my waist as he placed a soft kiss on my neck. 

"Calm my love, You are my mate. No other shall catch my eye." he whispered in my ear. I felt some the tension and anger fade at his touch and his words. I looked up at him and smiled before turning back to the scared girl in front of me. 

"If you ever talk or step towards my mate again I promise you, you will never get the chance to find your true mate. Do you understand me?" I spat at her.

"Y-Y-yes." the girl stuttered

"Leave us, NOW!" I commanded her

She among a few other wolves quickly scurried away out of fear. I felt as Alexander put his arms around my waist once more and I leaned into him. 

"I'm sorry." I said

"For what? being possessive and protective of your mate? You don't have to be sorry for that." Alexander said as he kissed my neck once again. I shuddered at the feeling of his lips on my neck. I turned around and wrapped my arms around him burying my face into his chest. The night was over but I didn't want to leave him. Four more days seemed so long to wait to be with him. I sighed deeply in frustration.

"What is it?" he asked worriedly

"The night is over, waiting four more days to be with you seems so long and a few hours a night is not enough." I answered him sadly.

He roared as he laughed, which was not the reaction I was expecting. I pouted at him, which only made him laugh harder.

"I'm sorry my love,  your excitement to be together is greatly welcomed. But we must abide by the rules." he told me amused.

He then bent down and gave me a passionate kiss before biding me goodnight. 

   As I walked back to my suite I couldn't get Alexander off my mind. Lost in my thoughts of him, I bumped into someone.  

"I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention." I said, looking at who I bumped into. 

I saw a group of about ten girls glaring at me. 

"Well, look who it is, the Alpha stealer." one girl sneered

"Excuse me?" I asked, anger starting to rise.

"You knew we had our eyes on Alpha Alexander and you stole him from us. He could've had any of us but he chose you." Another girl said.

"Alpha Alexander did not choose me as his mate, the moon goddess did." 

all of them gasped at that moment.

"How could the moon goddess choose you to be a powerful Alpha's mate?" a girl asked in disgust. My anger was getting stronger, my wolf Amara was pissed and was fighting me for control. 

"I'm warning you, back down." I sneered

   The power in my voice had them cowering, but one girl decided to be brave. She shoved her way to the front of the group of girls and raised her hand to hit me. As soon as she swung I caught her by her wrist and squeezed. You could hear the bones in her wrist crack as she screamed in pain under my grip, the other girls rushed forward and I looked up at them and glared, all the while crushing the girl's wrist. One look was all it took, they all stepped back cowering into each other. I turned my gaze back to the girl who dared challenge me. Her eyes were wide with pain, fear, regret and shock as I let my power roll off of me in waves. 

"I told you to back down, yet you dare challenge me? a wolf of superior rank? What kind of pack would raise a wolf so stupid as to not respect rank?" I sneered. 

   Her scream and moans of pain drew attention, all the women were now standing around staring in horror. The men came running fearing it could be their mate in danger but never interfered as I continued to squeeze her wrist, breaking the bones up into her arm. The girl screamed once again as her bones continued to break. 

"D-d-dark moon" she whispered in pain. 

  Since she had answered me I let her wrist go slowly, letting her feel every ounce of pain as I released her. She screamed again as the pain ran through her arm. My eyes are still glowing with anger. I faced the men and women before me.

"When I warn you to stand down, you stand down. If you dare challenge me I will put you in your place. If you dare speak of my mate the wrong way. I will end your life without hesitation. Am I understood?" I asked using my dominant voice. There was a chorus of yes and yes ma'ams around me. 

Someone, a man finally spoke up "May I ask who your mate is?'' I turned and faced the voice.

"Alpha Alexander of the Crystal Moon Pack." 

    After I said that about 30 men and women came to stand beside me. 

"Luna" they said, lowering their heads. 

   These wolves must be in Alexander's Pack. I felt him before I saw him. Alexander came and stood beside me, anger clear on his face. 

"Who challenged my Luna?" he asked through gritted teeth.

The girl on the floor whimpered and drew Alexander's attention to her. He looked at her broken arm and looked back at me smiling. 

"I see my Luna has punished you as she saw fit, but let me make this perfectly clear. If anyone challenges my Luna again you face me. Am I understood?" he roared. A chorus of 'Yes Alpha' echoed through the corridor once again.

"Good, now leave." he ordered. 

  Everyone ran from the corridor back to their rooms leaving the girl whimpering on the floor. I sighed in defeat as I stepped towards her and held my hand out to help. She looked at me unsure whether or not to take my hand. I gently nodded at her and she reached up with her good hand as I hauled her to her feet. 

"I'm sorry Luna, it won't happen again." she whispered and ran in the direction of the medical wing. I turned and faced Alexander as he pulled me into a bear hug, I gladly responded by wrapping my arms tightly around him. 

"I am so proud of you, you will make a great and respected Luna." he whispered in my ear. 

"Thank you." I said, hugging him tighter to me. I pulled away from him long enough to stand on my tip toes and kiss him. 

"Goodnight my love." I said and turned toward my room.

"Goodnight my Luna." I heard him respond before I closed my suit door.
