THE GLOWING BLUE PENDENT

Discovery was man-made, beautiful buildings, explicit Vehicles, innovative and Developments were made around the globe. But as the saying goes "Everyone is bound to mistakes"

Deep down in the Landscape of the Rainforest Vegetation there are long trees, shrubs and grasses, animals that pry about, thatched archaic shelters,with humans still looking primitive as though they are very much lost from the living life style of the 21st Century.Man has always been bound to mistakes since creation and beginning of live on Earth. It may not be Man's fault to have not unraveled the lives of this people,but I still take it that a stone was left unturned. 

Huhuhuhuh........."  Akaaka the Imperious emissary of war, from his foot to his chest is a strong built mountanious body, dark skinned body with a handsome face,with his pitch black long dada hair falling from his head like a spring water from a rock, the swayed from left to right as he raced in the bushes. Panting so heavily as he ran so swiftly through the green grasses,he was so fast that he could see the green grasses waving from left to right in slow motion, Akaaka ran as his legs can carry him through the grass, swerving his way onto a rock in the middle of the forest,from a wild black jaguar that is after him,as he stood upright on the rock having secured himself from danger,he jumped towards a tall mahogany tree close to the rock, when he got hold of the tree and balanced,he losed his grip from the tree making him fall directly to the jaguar,but he was cautious enough. Akaaka landed on the back of the wild jaguar, and immediately tightened his grip on the Jaguar's neck, with the intention of suffocating the beast with his muscular bicep holding onto the animal like an anaconda that curled up it's prey to death. "Aaaaaaaaahh..." still suffocating the beast Akaaka screamed as he looked up, though he would draw energy from the sky to enable him  kill the animal, finally he snapped the neck of this animal and loosened his grip on the animal.

"Yeeeeeeehhh.........."Akaaka heard a loud cheer as he stood up, it was the people of Amuma,it was as though the have been somewhere behind the tall trees watching him kill the animal. Killing that animal was one of the duties Akaaka owed the people, the crowd cheered him with love, respect and honored him after which the started to praise him with songs that suited his man of caliber because he Is the god the see on eath. The song was sung in a native language, firstly as the Oja melodic tones was heard,udu,ogene and Chaka chaka started to play too, giving a melodious combination of music tunes.Their women wearing the huge ankle plates that were very fashionable at the time, a torque, a short wrapper,a waist bead and a head scarf. And also the mbubu marks that run down the middle of her torso and on her arms. These marks are raised scar bumps that are made on a girl either right before or right after she is pregnant for the first time,the young girls had no mbubu marks on them yet.Also, their breasts weren't covered, as public display of the breasts was not frowned upon at all.The huge ankle plates deliberately overlap in order to give the woman a rolling gait when she walks which is of course, more attractive. At the time, girls were so crazy about them (and the effect they had on men) that they wouldn’t take them off, they  would even sleep with their legs hanging off the bed just so they could keep them on at all times! Their men barely wear ornaments, their private  part  was covered with a  piece of cloth, with the remaining piece in between their buttocks, the also had tattoos and scare marks inscribed on the right part of their chest depending on how advance you are in age.The children wore no cloth at all as they watched. This played on as the village began to make native acrobatic dance steps.It was really a long day in the forest.

Here in the city, everywhere looking beautiful with development no trees were seen around, just few trees that is used to keep the spirit of nature around the surrounding. Everything seemed to be done at ease as technology becomes the adopted era for man. There were different cars roaming the tad road,large buildings,the train station and the Airport. This innovations were used to make life easy for man. 

"Attention please, everyone arriving from the United States of America should leave the arrival unit in five minutes" says a lady's voice from a machine.  An  elegant Lady steps out of the arrival unit in Pennyilvla International Airport, moves straight to where she will collect her luggage. She sees a security staff where she went  to pick her luggage "Good day Sir...." Smiles as she greets him, a bit focused, the security looks up to respond to her greeting "Good day Ma'am,Welcome back"  he said, smiling back at her, "Thanks" She responded as she also took notice of her luggage coming out of the Luggage scanning Machine, "there it is"  she points to her luggage " That's my luggage"  moves to her luggage and picks them up. " Bye"   she said to the security, who also responds back at her,as she walks towards the exterior of the airport carrying her Luggage. "Aaaah"  she exhales as though relieving herself of the stress from the airplane and her heavy luggage,she starts to explore her environment with her eyes, looking all happy and surprised at the same time. "Hey Mademoiselle" a cab Man called out to her in French, not because his fluent in French but just to interrupts her to gain her divided attention, Returns to herself,then looks up to see who interrupted her moment, while she's feeling her environment "Hello there"  She responds,  "Do you prefer stressing your eyes viewing the whole of the country, standing at a fixed point or you want to do that sitting comfortably in my latest model of Range Rover sports"  He says trying to be funny as he tries to be a gentleman and opens his cab door for her, indicating that she should step inside the cab.  Her face beams with smile,as she lets out a laughter,  "ohh really,am I stressing my eyes?"  She ask as she makes efforts to lift her luggage and walk towards the car,but the cab Man rushed to assist her,holding her luggage, disapproving her not to carry the luggage by herself,  "No ma'am, let me do this" he said.  Looking a bit concerned for the driver, she tries to stop him from carrying her luggage  "But it's heavy",  The Cab Man was still reluctant to let go off the luggage, " No ma'am,I can handle this. This is what I do to feed, your my client I can't inconvenience you, just let me do my job ma'am".  Finally,She let go off the luggage, seeing how serious he was  "okay,if u insist" she said at last,  "Ohhhhh Thanks so much Ma'am" the cab man says in excitement.  "He seems to love his job a lot" Talks to herself,   "Pardon,Did you say something?"  He asked, she got shocked thinking he might have heard her  "Nooooo, nothing at all"  She stammers while talking  "why don't you get on with the luggage and hit the road it will soon get dark"  she said looking at the sky. The cab Man rushes to his cab Booth with her luggage, ushered her into his cab,closed the door then rushes to the driver's seat, started the cab then drove off.   "You will really enjoy the country's view from my cab trust me on that", He said to her as he watched her from the mirror in the cab,Lost once more in the view of the country, she wasn't paying attention to the driver,she watched the skyscraper building as the seemed to move backwards,due to the forward acceleration of the cab on full speed.

Stheeeesh, the cab stops by a mansion's big gate,The Mansion seems to be the only house around the area, opposite the mansion's big gate is a thick forest of trees. This route was popularly known as the lone road ,you hardly hear the noisy hooting of a car horn or the irritating  shout from taxi conductor, hawkers and  travellers. This is so because of the five star Field Marshal Edward Hamzam of the Military that lived in the mansion, nobody dares to trespasse this route to cause a noise pollution. 

The cab man rushes out of the cab,goes straight to the lady's sitting position and opens the cab door for her to step out,   "Wow I made a stop on the lone road"  he said resting his both hands on his head and sounding a bit local,. "Lone road?" She asked sounding perplexed,  "Yes ma'am,who doesn't know 14 Hamzam route as the lone road, this route is always the talk of the Town,park and market places, mostly how the Soldiers dealt with anyone that violates the order of Gen.Hamzam while going through this route".  He said sharply to her,.   "Ohhh, well am Miss Diane Hamzam,am the first Daughter of Gen.Edward"  She said nicely ,  "So Ma'am you own this mansion,do you know that I always drive through this route, and anytime I do so,I don't cease to admire this mansion"  he said as he reached for his cab Booth to bring out her luggage"  "So you own this place?"  he continues with a question. Diane seems to love the cab Man company,since she never stopped giggling   "I don't own this place, this is my father's house"    Tries to be modest,    "Father or not this is still your place Ma"  he said as he dropped all her luggage before the gate for her.  Her face still beaming with smile she lets out a chuckle "funny guy"   she  called him   "Thank you so much"    she said as she pays him  "Let me have your contact, who knows your service might be needed again"  she said bringing out her phone, for him to dial his digits in, which he did, said a goodbye then drove off   "Bye"  she said showing off her crystal clear teeth,she continued waving at the car until all she could see was a spec on the road,she realizes herself then reached for the gate with her luggage.

Diane entered through the gate as she found it unlocked,she starggerd into the compound with her heavy luggage,she slipped to fall but was held up by someone,she raised her head up to behold her rescuer, only to find a soldier holding  her by her hand,she glanced further as though inspecting him for putting on his camouflage uniform wrongly, suddenly something caught her attention,it is a badge with the soldier's name inscribed on it, spelt as CAPTAIN LUKE. Soldier still holding her hand  "Careful ma'am," He said to her looking worried,unsual for a soldier to worry over a citizen that trespassed his boundaries, definitely he knows about Diane status   "Lieutenant"  He called out with a thud. Immediately the Lieutenant jumps forward to his call with immediate effect,with all respect and obedience, "Sir"   he salutes  "Pick up this luggage and take them into the Mansion"   he orders with a thud "Sir,Yes Sir"  the Lieutenant answered with agility,he lifts his right hand onto his forehead as  sign of salute then lifts the Luggage to carry them inside. "Please Ma'am"  ushers Diane into the house,by stretching his left hand towards the Mansion, "Thanks a lot" she said as she now takes a close look around the compound and she saw beautiful species of flowers in the water fountains which was built like a junction roundabout in the middle of the compound,Executive cars, Hilux vehicles and Soldiers surrounding the whole compound in circles while standing at an attention. Diane walks slowly,in the large compound with ground cemented with floor bricks. With the Captain on her side,a bit behind her, Diane made her way to the Mansion's door. She opens the door to the Mansion interior, which had a military decorations of photos,of historical,past and present high ranked soldier and also her father's extremely large  poitrait hanging on the wall along with the rest, riffles and revolvers were also show Cased as though the lived in a museum.

"If it's not my grown up girl who has come back,who else would it be"  Diane's Mom said as she walks eagerly, with her face wearing the most beautiful smile ever and her hands wide open to embrace her long gone but back daughter,  "Mummy"  Diane said as she rushed to give her mom a warmth unforgettable embrace of a lifetime, "Hrghrghrgh"  Diane's father Gen.Edward pretends to cough, in order to draw attention to himself "is someone not forgetting something? Because I too deserve that kind of hug"  He said, with a broad smile on his face. Outside, Gen.Edward mansion, are people that are frightened by the mention of his name, while inside his house he puts away his ego and showers love to his dear family.    "Urghh huh, Daddy"  she said chuckling as she untangles herself from her Mum's embrace to go hug her Dad,she gives her Dad a warm hug then looks around,  "Wow Dad, I can see you have turned our house  into a museum for your military wares"   she said as she chuckled, followed by her Mum then Dad, "That's what you get for leaving home that long "  her father replied immediately. Diane's mum gives her husband a friendly slap on the hand while squeezing her face a bit  "Didn't you send her to school over there why you blaming her now,  "Mum, Dad I missed you both a lot and you have nothing to worry I have come back to stay and work"  she said with so much assurance,she suddenly looked as if she remembers something  "Mum, where are my Younger Sisters,are they not home to welcome me?".Diane has two younger sisters, they are identical twins. They both have formed the habit of arguing and quarrelling with each other over who is the oldest. Dr. Sarah Hazam is Diane and the twins mother she wouldn't help matters, as won't say who is the oldest between the twins,she claims to have forgotten and she believes that making them know would make them fall apart, as it is now, the twins has already fallen apart,even without knowing who the eldest is.

"Those ones, who knows?, They should be in their room" Dr Sarah said as her smile gradually starts to fade, "Probably fighting each other"  Gen.Edward chips in,  "very funny, Dad"  Diane said smiling sheepishly, as she is not buying the idea of the twins still quarrelling even before she traveled for her studies  "come on Mum take me to them"  she said excitedly as she rushed upstairs dragging Dr Sarah along as the walked through the stairs.The stairs in the mansion is a long one,it leads to so many doors and rooms in the mansion.   "Dear,let me go tell my friends your back,am hosting a welcome back party tomorrow for you dear"  He shouted to them looking towards the stairs direction,then he leaves.

Dr Sarah and Diane climbed the stairs, towards Kira and Mira Hazam's room. They both knocked on the door of the room,they twins seemed not to respond to the knocks, Diane had to open the door by herself, this time wide open, only to find the twins on the floor, tangled to each other, trying their possible best to inflict pain on each other. Kira held Mira's face with her left hand,then her right hand round Mira's neck, Mira on the other hand is pushing her sister away with both hands, the both continued with this position wriggling on the room floor. "Kira! Mira!" Diane shouted on top of her voice "What is wrong with you both for crying out loud, the both of you meet me on the roof top" she said as she angrily Left their presence, leaving her mom with the twins. The twins immediately untangles from each other, looking both surprised and stupid at the same time, "Get up, now" Dr Sarah shouted with a thud, the twins jumped up from the floor, "now go to your Sister" said Dr Sarah pointing towards the hallway that will lead to the roof top. They twins hurriedly ran out of their room, to the hallway straight to the door entrance that leads to the stairs that will finally lead to the roof top. On the roof top is really a good view, this roof top is just as comforting as the interior of the mansion will be. There's enough space, and it's well protected to avoid one falling from the roof trying to have a landscape viewing, the roof top space is decorated with flowers,then a swimming pool,a relaxation bed and also a bar. There Diane stood by the pool, waiting for the twins, "Here we are" Kira said, Diane turned back,she saw the grown twins standing by the door the came through, "Come and have a seat" Diane said to them calmly, pointing to the relaxation bed on the roof top. They twins still feeling stupid walked briskly to the bed,the both sat down each having a seat of her own. Diane made herself comfortable as she finds a seat to seat on.  "Now can you both tell me what your problems are?" Diane asked, this time with a serious face, "Tell Kira to stay clear off my stuffs"  said Mira "what stuff do you own" Kira lashed back "Shut the hell up, you both should learn to respect and accommodate yourself, Your both graduates and adults,I felt ashamed to watch you both wriggling on the floor, arguing about minor issues" Diane said and she paused for a while to know if the twins were paying attention to what she is saying to them. "Twins are meant to be one,they love and understand each other more than any other thing,many couples are out there looking for your kind of birth, don't give me a feeling that all twins are rascally, because I would gladly forbid myself from having any" Diane said as her voice tone starts to sound emotional "We are very sorry, Diane, please don't say you won't wanna have twins because of us" Kira said looking sorry, "Yes Sis,we are very sorry please forgive us" Mira added. Diane looks at their faces then stretched out her right palm to her sisters    "Promise me that today marks the end of your fights " Diane said "Yes we promise you " the twins said in unison, placing their palms on Diane's palm as a sign that the accept to live in harmony,the three drew themselves together as the embraced.  "It's been a long time" Diane says with a smile, the twins chuckled  " Yeah,it's really been a long time" Mira supported as the untangle themselves from their embrace, they laughed happily. "Now tell us, how was your studies, hope you heard fun"  Mira asked, Diane smiled then moved from the pool side to the bar "yeah my stay was great, it was adventurous,I traveled to so many places within this period of my studies,I went for festivals in so many countries especially Brazil,you both really need to go to Rio, it's really a fun place and very interesting area for your vacation".At this point the twins became lost, because the didn't get the point Diane was making.  "I never knew studying Medicine in the United States would require much travelling and fun" Kira said sounding confused,  "Seriously, I should have gone for Medicine instead"   Mira added, "who is talking about Medicine,am not a medical doctor if that's what you're thinking" Diane cleared them, They twins expressed shock at the words of Diane,. "but what about Dad,his thinking your a medical doctor" Mira added Kira nodded in correspondence,  "I know I was meant to be a Doctor,but nobody cares to know what I want, well it's past though, because I have succeeded in achieving what I have always dreamt about" Diane said with confidence  "So, Sis what are you" Kira asked, Diane moved from where she stood and walked up to the iron protector that is attached to the edge of the roof top, " I am a researcher, I move from town to town, village to village and country to country making research on histories and festivals,but I haven't seen what I want yet" Diane said, "What you want?" Mira asked,  " Yes, what I want, that's why am here"  Diane said as she looks straight to the forest from the roof top  "I need something real, maybe a bit magical and extraordinary, all this I didn't get in all this countries,but am here now, that's why am back" she added,.   "So what about Dad" Mira asked,   " Don't worry about Dad, his gonna be fine" she said lastly as she continues with her stares at the forest.

In the dark night, the Moon's light swept the floor with blue rays, the whole environment was calm and quiet,as the  only sound heard was that of the cricket in the forest. Akaaka sat down on a rock in the middle of the village,it was dark and everyone in the village has slept,he is there watch guard, protector and guardian. He sat with his legs crossed in between each other,his eyes closed, his both hands placed on his legs and palms opened. Akaaka seemed to be meditating, everywhere was dark, due to the broad tree leaves the Moon's light could not shine on Earth. The moonlight showed little part of Akaaka body, the lining on his biceps, his Dada hair that falls behind him and the silver necklace around his neck.  The pendent of this necklace has the shape of a feather and something like a blue eye,but not originally an eye, it's a precious blue stone embedded in the feather like structure. "Aaaah" Akaaka scream as he opened his eyes and behold the precious blue stone started to glow for the first time on Akaaka neck. "What is this" he asked himself hold the tail end of the pendent. "Did that pendent just glow?" Akaaka heard a voice from behind,he rose immediately to know who made the comment " Agadi, what have you come to do here" Akaaka addressed furiously to  the person. Agadi is an old woman of Amuma village, the oldest person after Akaaka who is under a curse of seeing generations and protecting them all. Agadi is a thin,dark,cranky old lady,her skin has sagged and her breast exposed, her breast saggs from its original position to her tummy,as her skin is now weak to hold on to it,she also has mbubu marks like every other women but she wasn't wearing an ankle plate. Agadi is a stubborn woman,but she is very brave,she climbs up the rock at odd hours to check up on Akaaka, rumor has it that she fell in love with Akaaka,when she came of age Akaaka couldn't reciprocate the love back,he believes that love wasn't made for him. "What does that mean,I can see the necklace still glowing, what will befall us,is it a good sign or an impending danger" Agadi asked in a nosy behavior.  "What glows here is none of your business, return to your shelter" he said as he returns to his former sitting position, this time he removes the necklace from his neck, then holds it by its chain, " I said you should leave, return to your shelter" he orders as he could feel her presence behind him, "I will leave,but I will be back to know what fate  the goddess installed for us, that necklace has never shone light since I was born and the feeling I get is an impending danger from something bigger than us" she spoke and turns to leave,  "Wait, never you mention a word about what you just witnessed to anyone,keep it to yourself or if you can't bite off your tongue before me" Akaaka said still facing his initial position. Agadi turned and left the premises to her shelter, Akaaka still on the rock, wondering what the sign was, because the glow burnt his skin,whereas no weapon has ever inflicted pain into his body.  "Indeed something bigger is coming" he said to himself looking at the glowing necklace his holding in his hand.
