Everything was back to normal.
Atleast that was how it seemed and I hoped it remained that way.
Hayley was back in school and we were friendly with each other, although not too friendly. We tried tried our best to be cautious and we made sure to look out for each other.
It was lunch period, we all headed to the cafeteria together but I stayed back a bit to talk to Hayley. I wanted to check in on her.
"Hey, how's everything at home?" I asked her.
"Good" she replied, "my mom is back to her busy life" she sounded a little disappointed and I felt sad for her, so I decided to assure her.
"We are here for you" I reached out and touched her arm.
