The guy bolted before I could finish catching my breath.
He really was good at hiding, I could give him that.
I groaned, head tilting up toward the darkening sky like it had personally offended me. “Of course. Of course one of you idiots had to make it interesting.”
The stray was fast, faster than I expected for someone just watching his whole crew get sent to dreamland by one man. But I guess survival does that to people.
Well, it was either that or he was just built for running.
