The car came to a not so screeching halt across the street, and even though I knew they saw that, I still announced our arrival. “We're here.” The car was blissfully quiet once they left. Lisa had barely stepped out and disappeared through the Red Loom doors when I let out a long sigh. Not because she was exhausting, or even because I was exhausted. If anything, she was easier to handle than most people I’d guarded. But there was something happening behind the scenes, so I had to be alert at all times when I was with her. Lisa had been extremely welcoming and actually put in effort to be nice to the staff. She didn’t need to worry about such messy happenings. I
