Chapter 5: The Disappearance of Acne

"Madam, let's discuss this.." Iris's face turned pale.

"There's nothing to discuss." The woman checked her watch and said, "My time isvaluable.l'll give you three minutes to think about it.

Sophia, after being married for four years, you don't trust me at all, huh?" Alex'svoice drowned out the whispers around them.

Sophia was astonished and looked at Alex incredulously.

Alex actually had the audacity to speak to her in such a tone? That had neverhappened before.

Iris quickly rebuked, "Alex, you have no place to speak here. Get out!"

"Auntie, l think we can let him give it a try. As long as he swears in front of everyonethat if anything goes wrong during the treatment, it has nothing to do with theTaylor family, and he takes full responsibility," Carl suggested, a wicked grin onhis face.

"Well.." Iris suddenly thought that Carl's suggestion seemed feasible.

Alex glanced coldly at Carl, then turned to the woman, saying, "Madam, if l can'tcure the acne on your face, l'm willing to take full responsibility. This is a private matter between you and me, unrelated to the Taylor family or this company."

To Carl, the idea of an incompetent man living off his wife being able to treatillnesses was simply absurd.

Upon hearing Alex's words, Sophia felt a bit uncomfortable. Although their marriagewas essentially a transaction, the Taylor family had been overly harsh on Alex overthe past four years. Despite that, Alex was still willing to help her.

"Fine, l'l let you treat me. l hope you can really cure my face. Otherwise, you'll bearthe consequences," the woman, whose name was Emma Walker, made her decision.

Emma Walker was the younger sister of Hereward City's wealthiest man, Albert Walker. Shetook a flight here specially two days ago to visit their sick father. Yesterday, afterseeing her father in the hospital, Emma bought a bottle of moisturizing cream fromSophia's cosmetics store in King's Shopping Plaza. This morning, after using ither face broke out in acne. So she came here.

Alex nodded and looked at Emma. "Please have a seat and wait for a moment. l'll goout to buy some medicine and be back soon.

Sophia, who was now at a loss, didn't stop Alex.

Carl took the opportunity to taunt, "ls this freeloader planning to run away?"

To Carl's disappointment, Alex returned after about ten minutes, carrying a bagmedicine in his hand.

Fortunately, there was a magic herb store not far from the King's Shopping Plaza.

Alex walked up to the counter and opened the medicine bag, revealing a mixture ofpowdered herbs.

Then Alex found a plastic container in the store, poured half a box of water into it,and emptied the powdered medicine into the container. He used his index finger of his right hand to stir it.

During stirring, Alex activated the mysterious energy within him, allowing a smallamount of it to flow into the mixture through his fingertip.

Soon, the watered-down powders turned into a paste. Alex picked up the containerand looked at Emma. "Miss, please lie down on the office chair over here. l'm goingto apply the medicine on your face.

Emma approached the chair with mixed feelings and said nervously, "Young man,don't fool me. lf you ruin my face, l'll ruin the rest of your life!"

Alex exuded confidence and said, "Don't worry. After applying the medicine, youracne will completely disappear within five minutes.

"Using some water and powder to treat acne? This is the first time l've heard of sucha thing. Alex, you should be more professional when trying to deceive people,Carl couldn't help but mock.

Alex turned his head and glanced at Carl with a cold gaze. "Carl, if you keeptalking, l'll throw you out of here. Believe me.

Hearing this, Carl felt a tightness in his throat, recalling the immense strength Alexhad demonstrated on his neck at the Taylor family mansion earlier. He could onlymutter under his breath, "Heh, l want to see the magical effects of your patheticlittle trick.

Alex then turned his gaze to Emma. "lf you're concerned that the medicine may beharmful, you can try it on your hand first."

"Forget it, just go ahead." With her face in such a state, desperate times called fordesperate measures. Emma leaned back in the chair and lifted her face.

Alex began applying the medicinal paste to her face with his hands.

Soon, Emma's face was completely covered with the paste, giving the appearance ofa deep gray mask.

"Madam, it’s done. Please go to the restroom over there to wash off the paste,Alex pointed to a restroom in the corner.

This sudden transformation felt almost supernatural.
