First Day of School

803 Words
We're studying in a private non-sectarian school. It just 20-30 minutes away from our house. As I walked on the hallway going on the assigned classroom for us my friends texted me Tori: Where are you? We're here at Room 301 in the 3rd floor. Tori's not kidding right? 3rd floor? Really? I need to walk faster as I could or I will be late. Me: I'll be there just give me more minutes. As I reached the 2nd floor I saw new faces, maybe new students and transferees from other schools. My friends from first year last year were waving and smiling at me. They're still on the corridors talking to their friends and new faces. I feel tired as I reached the stairs going to 3rd floor. My phone rang. "Hello" "Zhekie, where are you?". It was Tori my girl best friend in the other line. "Almost there." "We're all waiting." "Yeah, I know." I said before I dropped the call. I heard their voices as I came closer on our classroom. Maggie's voice is the loudest I think. And yes I'm correct. As soon as she saw me near the door she shouted my name. "ZHEKERAAAA!" I smiled to them and walk near to them. "You'll sit beside me Zhekie.", Tori said before she hugged me. "Thanks Tori." "I missed you Zhekie.", Magz said. "I miss you all guys." Beside Tori is her boyfriend since first year, Justin. Maggie is with her boyfriend also, Blake. Krishma is there looking on her phone. I put my bag on my chair before I sit down. Few minutes past and our teacher came. Just an ordinary first day, introduction and sharing of experiences during summer break. When break time came we went to the cafeteria to get some snacks. We stay there and do some chitchats. "I heard there is transferee in 4th year.", Krishna said. "Yeah. He's leaving few blocks away in our subdivision from SBA.”,Blake answered. "Have you seen him?", Tori asked Justin. "Yes. I saw him earlier. When I passed by in their corridor. Their are lots of girls talking to him asking questions or what.", Justin said. "How about his looks?", intriguing question of Krishna. "Come on Krish. Just focused on me.", Elcid said when he came in our table. "Tsk...Shut up El. You're still my suitor.”, Krish said to El. "Chill. I know. That's why I'm here to court you until you say YES." El said proudly. As we can see everyone of us are staring the two lovebirds before they fight. Yes. They are like sweet candies now and became sour later. "Why don't you gave the "Yes" that his been waiting Krish?", I asked. "Let him wait.", she replied while looking to El. Elcid just winked on her. We heard a group of students looking in a guy who's not so familiar to us. We also heard soft voices saying something about him. "Hi Maxi," girls from the other table said. He never looked at them even for a second and he continue walking to the counter. I saw him bought a drink and sandwich. "Maxi is his name? The transferee?", Krish said in a lower voice. "Yes. Maximilian Rufus for short. He's an achiever, athletic, and not interested in girls." Elcid said and smirked to Krish. "And where did you get those ideas?”, Krish said in a angry voice. "Oh! Oh! another fight?", Justin said. Who knows Elcid is just stating the fact. Achiever. Athletic. My dream guy. But his not interested to girls. Ouch. He's tall, brown skin, clean cut hair and has a perfect physique. Thick brows, pointed noise that looks like a Latino man. "Come on Zhekie. Focused. Its your first day and stopped those crazy things.", I said in mind. I'm 15 turning 16 on November. NBSB and it's my choice. Maybe? I have suitors but I can't feel anything for them so I told them to stopped. I don't know if there's a problem on me. Maybe its not yet the perfect time for that. I need to focused on my studies. I always wanted to be on top of our class. That's the only way to give back the sacrifices of my parents for us. I also want them to be proud of me. Like what Dad always said, "There's nothing wrong if you want everything in this world. As long as your doing it on a right way and giving your heart and 100 percent to achieved it." I know that in God's story book every life story of each and every one of us will happen in His perfect time. Our actions and prayers will be paid off someday. Love can wait. Career first. Focused in your goals. Nailed it soon.
