Returning Home with Good News
As Anderson made his way back to the village, he couldn't contain his excitement. The interview had been a success, and he couldn't wait to share the news with his parents. The journey home felt shorter than usual, his heart light and his mind filled with anticipation.
When he arrived home, he found Grace in the garden, tending to the flowers. She looked up and smiled warmly as she saw him approaching.
"Welcome back, Anderson. How did it go?" she asked, her eyes filled with curiosity and hope.
Anderson's face lit up with a wide grin. "It went really well, Mom. Mr. Thompson was impressed with my qualifications and my passion for marine engineering. He said they'd be in touch soon with their decision."
Grace's smile grew even brighter, and she wrapped Anderson in a warm embrace. "I'm so proud of you, Anderson. I had no doubt that you would do well. Your hard work and determination are paying off."
Anderson felt a surge of gratitude and love for his mother. Her unwavering support had been a constant source of strength throughout his journey. "Thank you, Mom. Your encouragement means everything to me."
Later that evening, when Ethan was resting comfortably in bed, Anderson shared the good news with him. Despite his weakened state, Ethan's eyes sparkled with pride and joy.
"That's wonderful news, son," Ethan said, his voice filled with emotion. "I'm so proud of you. You've worked hard for this, and I know you'll succeed."
Anderson held his father's hand, feeling a deep sense of fulfillment. "Thank you, Dad. Your strength and faith have always inspired me. I'll do my best to make you proud."
