A month or so after Simon somewhat smoothed things out between Chase and Morgan things finally settled. Morgan still hovered while Chase cleaned sometimes but not often and he'd stopped trying to help him.
Chase found he enjoyed Morgan's company and that he'd started to miss it when he wasn't around.
Morgan summoned Chase to his office one day and Chase grew worried he'd done something wrong. He paced outside the door for a moment before gently knocking, pushing it open timidly when he got a response, “Come in."
