ZARA'S POV
It was afternoon and Alden had gone to check the arrangements made for the council witch's arrival, leaving me with Alexio who was currently sleeping on the bed with me sitting beside him.
I ran a hand through his hair as he snuggled closer to me. He woke up at five in the morning and was now trying to get some sleep.
"Zara-"
"Shush."
I placed a finger on my lips to add extra effect and Alethea copied my actions. She looked at her brother and shook her head and mind linked me,
"Once a workaholic, always a workaholic."
"Couldn't agree more."
"I think you should wake him up now. The council witch will be arriving soon."
I nodded my head and she left the room.
