ZARA’S POV
“Where is Penelope?”
We all looked at Alden and without any warning Laura burst out,
“Oh that woman. She said she is sleepy and doesn’t have to-“
“Oh baby, you are back. I was so worried about you.”
All the people looked at Penelope and me including the others looked at her in disbelief?
Worry? This woman just went upstairs claiming that she was feeling sleepy and that there is nothing to worry about. So how come this sudden change in thoughts?
Alden smiled lovingly at her and was about to hug her when she scooted away from him and said,
“Eww, please take a shower first and then I will give you as many hugs you want.”
His contented smile fell and was replaced by an unpleasant frown. He nodded his head nonetheless and was about to leave to take a shower when Laura yelled
