Lilly POV:
After the strange vampire left, Brandon came back. I decided not to say anything about what just happened as I didn’t want a repeat of this morning. We finished the picknick put everything back in the car.
Michael POV:
Just as I was about to leave the packhouse Sam came barging through the door with news that made my blood boil. “I found Lilly. Michael, I found her.” He said excitedly. “What really, where is she?” I asked with a smile so anxious to see her. “She’s on Shadow pack territory. I spoke to her but she couldn’t remember who you are or that she’s your mate.” Sam said with a sombre tone. “What do you mean she can’t remember she’s my mate?!” I asked starting to get irritated with his cryptic messages. “She thinks Alpha Brandon is her mate.” He said as he took a step back knowing I would lose my cool. “She said what?!!!” I shouted and punched the wall next to me. I felt the blood pulse through my body, my heart was speeding up and I couldn’t hear over my heart pounding in my ears. My hand was bleeding from punching the wall. “Why would she think he’s her mate?” I asked with venom in my voice. “I don’t know.” He said picking his words wisely as not to anger me any further. “I’m going to kill him.” I said as I walked to the door. “Stop! Emily ordered. Killing him will not break the spell on Lilly, we need to think about our next move carefully. We don’t want him to take off with her, and disappear.” She said. I knew she was right we had to approach this from a different angle. “What do you think we should do?” I asked as I turned around facing her. “We visit a witch who can tell us how to break the spell. Then we can sneak onto Shadow pack territory and rescue Lilly.” Emily said. I nodded my head. “Okay we can go to see my friend now, I’ll just call her and tell her we are on our way.”
*ONE HOUR LATER*
Emily called her friend and we’re on our way to see her now. We dove for a few hours until we got to an old house on the top of a hill. The house looks deserted and the garden hasn’t been looked after. The grass was long and the house has cracks in it’s walls. The windows were broken. We walked to the front door and I asked a stupid question, “Are you sure we are in the right place?” “Yes, this is the right place.” Emily said. As we got to the door the door flew open and a gust of cold air hit my body sending shivers down my spine. We went inside and what I saw, I still can’t comprehend. The house has a red carpet the walls were painted in a maroon color. The windows were no longer shattered and the house was double the size inside that it was outside. The furniture was all vintage and it seemed as thought the house was worth $10 000 000. I’ll never understand magic I thought to myself. A black haired, skinny lady about the age of 20 came downstairs and greeted us. We went and sat in the living room, “Samantha it’s very nice to see you again. We need your help.” Emily said as we sat down. “I heard you’re trying to find your mate who has been taken by another.” Samantha said. “Yes, I am. She also doesn’t seem to remember me or our relationship.” I replied crossing my arms. “That sounds like the work of a mind whipping spell.” She said as she got up and walked over to a cabinet on the other side of the room. “I’ll give you a cure, as well as a containment spell that should put the Alpha directly in jail.” She said as she put two bags with powder in a box and handed it to us. “Thank you.” I said just before we left Samantha’s house. Emily hugged her and we left.
When we got back to the packhouse Brandon was waiting for us in the Alpha’s office. “Hello Alpha Emily. I came by to ask if you had any news on Lilly’s location.” He said as we entered the room. it took everything I had in me not to attack him and up out only lead to find Lilly. Emily and I decided to follow Brandon until he leads us to Lilly. “No Brandon, we have no news on Lilly’s location.” Emily said. “Okay, thank you alpha Emily.” Brandon said as he left the packhouse.
We followed Brandon as he left the packhouse. We kept a good distance so that he wouldn’t see us. We followed him to a restaurant near the shadow pack border. He got out of the car and went into the restaurant. We got out and followed him into the restaurant, he followed a blonde waitress to the porch. When we stood in the door we saw something that we wouldn’t have believed otherwise.
Brandon was hugging Lilly. My Lilly, she was alive and with Brandon. My blood was boiling, I wanted to get rid of him permanently. Emily grabbed my arm and whispered, “Not here Michael. There’s too many people.” We left the restaurant and devised a plan on how to cure Lilly and how to get onto Shadow pack territory.
I went home for the night as it was getting rather late. I was happy to know Lilly was alive and so close but I was so upset that she was with Brandon and not with me. I got home and took a nice shower to try and clear my head. I missed Lilly so much. I finally knew where she was all that was left was getting her. I got out of the shower and got dressed. I got into bed and knew that this was the last night that I had to sleep alone because tomorrow I would get Lilly back.
Lilly POV:
When I woke up Brandon was already gone, probably doing Alpha business. I got out of bed and took a shower. I got dressed in a pink shirt and jeans. I went downstairs to make coffee when I saw we were out of milk. I decided to make a list of everything we need so that I can go to the shop. I messaged Brandon on my way out, telling him I’ll only be a few hours at most, and that I would see him when I get back.
