She stared at him with wide eyes, unsure she'd heard him. His hand didn’t move right away, it lingered at her waist, warm against the thin fabric of her shirt. Isabel opened her mouth, unsure what she was even going to say, when his hand slid lower, fingers trailing the curve of her stomach. Her breath hitched.
