Isaac pulled back just enough to see her face. He cupped her cheeks in both hands, his thumbs brushing over the tear tracks under her eyes. His brows were drawn, eyes darting across her features like he couldn’t believe she was really there in his arms. “Are you okay?” he asked, voice low, strained, like he was holding back everything inside him.
